The detached tower at West Walton, Norfolk, c. 1250Student Bursaries

The Friends of the Centre for English Local History registered as a charity in 1999 and, since then, has provided more than 25,000 in bursaries to post-graduate students of the Centre for English Local History

As a small charity, our funds are limited, but we can be flexible in the nature of our assistance. We have provided assistance in the past to students for course fees, research-related travel costs and field-course costs.
Application for assistance with tuition fees should be made before the start of the course, but we are willing to listen and to try to help if personal circumstances change part way through a course.

An application form is available here
